NFORC Research Advisory Board

The Research Advisory Board (RAB), with the assistance of the NFORC management committee, will evaluate the general suitability of databases and evaluate applications for prospective randomised studies and study of prospective collected data held on NFORC’s national registers. This evaluation will be done on scientific grounds in a formal manner after suitable peer review. The Board will have the pre-eminent role in judging whether individuals or organisations may study this data. Each Specialist society will have 2 nominated officers on the RAB judging research proposals in their discipline.

The Chair of this Board will be elected by its members and serve a period of five years in this position.
